Category I – SONGBOOK Jacket Design

25 different SONGBOOKS to choose from.

Each SONGBOOK jacket bears the SONGBOOK Title (Front & Back Covers) and five Album Titles (Back Cover).

How to illustrate our SONGBOOK jackets:

  1. Read the SONGBOOK Title and the five Album Titles and render Artwork which best fits the Titles.
  2. Your Artwork and the Title of the SONGBOOK appears on the front cover.
  3. Your Artwork, the Title of the SONGBOOK and the five Album Titles appear on the back cover.

Category II – ALBUM Jacket Design

125 different ALBUMS to choose from.

Each ALBUM jacket bears the ALBUM Title (Front & Back Covers) and ten Song Titles (Back Cover).

How to illustrate our ALBUM jackets:

  1. Read the ALBUM Title and the ten Song Titles and render Artwork which best fits the Titles.
  2. Your Artwork and the Title of the ALBUM appears on the front cover.
  3. Your Artwork, the Title of the ALBUM and the ten Song Titles appear on the back cover.

Submission Requirements

All submitted files will be no more than 1MiB in size, and must be submitted in one of the following formats: .JPEG, .PNG, or .GIF
While numbering the titles is not required, they must appear clear, legible, and in the correct order on your jacket.

Additionally, if our printing services are requested or your file is chosen as a winner, we may request a higher quality version than these requirements permit. Therefore, we highly recommend you keep your submission's raw files.

Entry Fees

Your first submission(s):

  1. Submit one piece of artwork to either category for a $10 entry fee.
    OR
  2. Submit one piece of artwork to both of the two categories for a $15 entry fee.

Subsequent submissions:

Each additional piece of artwork can be entered into the competition for $5 per submission.

Special Entry Incentive

For $5 (five dollars U.S.) plus Shipping & Handling, contestants who enter one piece of artwork in each of the two categories will receive their artwork professionally printed in a CD jewel case.

Judging Criteria

Entries in each category will be judged on the following three criteria:

  1. The design and incorporation of the respective required elements.
  2. How well the artwork reflects the content of the SONGBOOK or ALBUM.
  3. The over-all aesthetic effect of artwork & TITLE combination.

Winner Selection Process

Atlantis Found Publishing will narrow the field of contestants to 10 finalists in each of the two Categories. At which point, registered members can vote for who they think the three winners in each category should be.

Prizes

Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be awarded in each of the two categories.
