- Q: Who is James Thomas Fielding?
- A: J.T. Fielding is a Conceptual Artist, freelance writer, aspiring novelist, rock critic, poet, essayist, copyeditor, photographer, musician, lyricist, singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and music producer. He is the founder and publisher of Atlantis Found Publishing based in Portland, Maine.
- Q: Why do you call your products “ALBUMS” when there is no music?
- A: The term “Album” is not limited to collections of sound recordings. An “Album” can be anything from photographs to pictures to coins. In this case, the “Albums" are collections of SONGBOOK, ALBUM and Song Titles.
Similarly, even though there is no musical accompaniment to the SONGBOOK, ALBUM and Song Titles, we use the term “Lyrics” to signify that the Song words are written to metered verse. All of J.T. Fielding’s lyrics were either written to music, or designed to be easily scored for music in the future.
- Q: Well then…doesn’t that make your stand-alone Lyrics “Poetry”?
- A: I hope not! This is ROCK’N ROLL baby, not Shakespeare! (not that there’s anything wrong with the Bard of Avon.)
- Q: I see only SONGBOOK, ALBUM and Song Titles…where are the Song Lyrics to these Titles?
- A: Only Titles are featured in the first WWV Online Album Art Competition. Full Lyrical Concept Albums featuring Artwork, Song Titles and Song Lyrics will be released (sold) in the future. Also, AFPI plans on sponsoring a future contest to illustrate J. T. Fielding’s Song Lyrics.
- Q: Does AFPI accept Song Lyrics & Titles from the public outside of the WWV Online Album Art Competition?
- A: Not at this point. But, future plans include a contest for Best Concept Album Titles.
- Q: Can I send you my Artwork through the mail?
- A: No. ALL CONTESTS ARE DIGITAL MEDIA ONLY. All files must be either .jpeg, .png, or .gif files.
- Q: Does AFPI plan on sponsoring a contest for Bands and Artists to submit original music?
- A: Absolutely! Currently, plans are being discussed to sponsor a contest for Best Album Title Cut in the “WORDS WITHOUT VOICES®” series. Of course, all future contests are contingent on the success of the first “WORDS WITHOUT VOICES®” Online Album Art Competition.
- Q: If I am an Artist or in a Band, can I link up with your website?
- A: Yes, by all means! Exchanging links is what makes the cyber world go round. As long as you display the “WORDS WITHOUT VOICES®” Online Album Art Competition link, we will list your URL on our LINK EXCHANGE page.
- Q: Does ATLANTIS FOUND PUBLISHING INC. offer other products and services besides the sponsorship of the WWV Art Competition?
- A: Yes. Regardless of whether you enter our Contests, we also offer Bands and Artists label printing and CD jewel cases. (see PRODUCTS & SERVICES)
